Revelations 4 : 6 – 11

Verse 6 -> Before the throne, there is a sea of glass clear as crystal.

Revelations 15:2
Revelations 21:1 => There will be no more sea at all. It is a vast beautiful space as crystal for us to congregate.

Crystal is
1) devoid of shadow and darkness.
2) Symbol of the multitude of blood washed gathering congregating together.

Ephesians 5 : 27 => No spot no wrinkle – physical and spiritual sense.
Holy without blemish.

Revelations 4 : 7
=> 4 Living Creatures – They are covered with His glory.

a) 1st Living Creature represents supremacy. ( Picture of a lion with wings )
Remind us of Christ various facets.
Lion reigns supreme.
Christ walked on earth with power with supremacy.
Christ stood so low to become an earthly being to take up Himself for our sins.

b) 2nd Living Creature represents service. (Picture of an Ox with wings)
Ox serves faithfully.
Large and yet obedient.
There is a sign of meekness about the look.
Jesus Christ came with yielded obedience that He came as a sacrificial animal.
We will serve and obey God in obedience.

c) 3rd Living Creature represents substitute (Picture of a man with wings)
Christ took our guilty place.
Christ apply the Law of substitution.
He came into this world to walk as a man and to die as a substitute on our
guilty place.
He understands our dilemma, frailties, et cetera.
We will walk with Him on Heaven and earth.

d) 4th Living Creature represents speed (Picture of an eagle with wings)
Showing the loftiness and speed.
Can rise above the stormy clouds.
Jesus say: ‘No man take my life away, I lay my life down.’
Not a little storm can visit Heaven.

Read Revelation 6 => a terrible tribulation is taking place.
There will never be a rebellion in Heaven.
The 4 Living Creatures are the closest to God.

What are the roles of the Living Creatures?
1) Eternal reminders that Christ is worthy of total devotion, praise and worship.
2) Worship Leaders in Heaven.
Revelations Chapter 5 => All the angels will worship in unison.
3) Assistants of God in revealing and executing judgements.
Revelations 15:7 -> Speaks of seals of judgements, full of the wrath of
God.

Revelations 4:8
The 4 Living Creatures are all seeing and all knowing.
They are the symbols of Jesus Christ full nature.
Jesus Christ is all seeing and all knowing with dual nature.
The 4 Living Creatures created a worship atmosphere to cause us to worship and adore God in Heaven.

Revelations 4 : 9 – 11
Colossians 1: 16 -17 -> Acts of worship
We are going to see angels of all kinds in Heaven.
Heaven is a colourful place in diversity and unity.
All things by His power hold together.
